Join us at JOYfull Women!

 
We are JOYfull Women because it’s IN HIS PRESENCE that we find the fullness of JOY and strength to get through any circumstance. Oh that we would be dwell in the Presence of the Lord all our days!
“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation. With JOY you will draw water from the wells of salvation. And you will say in that day: give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name, make known His deeds among the peoples, proclaim that His name is exalted.” – Isaiah 12:2-4
Join us on the 2nd Saturdays of the month (September through May) as we gather together as JOYfull Women!  It’s a time of intentional gathering around tables to eat a meal together, engage in lively conversation and share a time of worship and the word together.  This is always a wonderful time in the presence of the Lord. Make plans to gather with us and pursue the Lord with other like-minded women!
 
We believe that we grow best in our relationship with the Lord when we gather often in community,  so we also plan retreats and conferences for the women of NewHeart to pursue the Lord together for an extended time, as well as periodic get-togethers, such as movie nights, game nights, day outings, or some other fun offering.

JOYfull Women 2026-2027 Theme: Dwell

“One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple.” — Psalm 27:4

Dwelling is not the same as visiting. Visiting is what many of us do — we visit, when it’s convenient for us; we visit when we have an urgent need in our life that only God can fulfill; we visit when we’re out of options, or bored, or feel like maybe we should check-in. And God is faithful to meet us in those times of visitation — but dwelling and visiting are two very different postures of approaching God. One is as an acquaintance who only reaches out when she needs something (we all have those friends in our life, or maybe you are that friend); the other is as as a bride with her husband – we are joined together in life, for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health – we are joined together come what may. We are meant to ABIDE in Christ, for it is IN Him that we live and move and have our being (Acts 17:28). And when we abide, our life bears the fruit of a life lived close to God and under His covering — fruit that is developed and matured as we dwell in the presence of God. 

Be assured, the enemy is after that dwelling. He doesn’t mind when you visit, as long as you don’t dwell.  He will do whatever it takes to keep you distracted and discouraged, on the edge of the shore — because he knows that when you jump in to saturate in the presence of the Lord, and it becomes your permanent dwelling, you become a woman who is not shaken by the storms of life; a woman who is a force for the Lord in her life, in the life of her family and friends, and anyone else she encounters!  Let us become women who don’t just visit every now and then, but make the presence of the Lord our DWELLING place!
